T Bourke are delighted to win two awards at the inaugural National Electrical Awards at the Mansion House on Friday night. The black-tie gala awards dinner took place in the Round Room on Friday, May 11th. The inaugural event recognizes the work and achievements by the electrical industry over the past year.
T Bourke scooped two awards against some tough competition to win ‘Project of the Year’ and ‘Contractor of the Year’. The featured project was Merrion Hotel in Dublin 2 which was managed by project manager, Gary Carey.
The Merrion Hotel project comprised of 8 No. luxurious apartments in Dublin’s finest five star hotels. In addition to the new apartments, further hotel facilities were provided such as additional underground parking, new laundry, new dry cleaners, new restaurant and kitchens.
T Bourke electrical division were delighted to have been appointed electrical contractors for the project working with consultants Homan O’Brien and builders, John Paul Construction.
The project began in late 2014 and took over 36 months to complete. From the start the project it was clear of the challenges it created.
The electrical project consisted of;
• Diversion of all main electrical supplies
• Installation of new main distribution board for entire complex.
• Photovoltaic installation to roof of building
• Fire alarm / Voice evac
• Installation of new 1MVA generator. Security
• Lighting
• Lightning protection
• ICT & data services
